This is really up to you and there is no right or wrong in this case.
Because it is really important that your headshot shows you at your best it can be quite helpful but we must take into account the need to keep it looking natural so you need to discuss this with your makeup artist before hand if you book your own or if you book through me they will know exactly what is needed.
For you girls having a makeup artist on hand can be really fun and really worthwhile as you can develop a few contrasting looks to give you more casting options but keep it natural and please don’t go overboard.

Wardrobe choice is an important part a successful headshot and can give your shots that little bit of edge. As a general rule darker colours and simple necklines are better and it is good to keep it simple where possible. It is good however to consider a few different looks for specific casting needs so have a think about how you might want to be cast and come prepared with appropriate options.
When using a colour headshot try wearing colours that work well with your skin tone and eye colour. You will be surprised how much difference certain colours will make your shots really stand out.
Lastly think about items of clothing that you love wearing and make you feel great and bring them to your headshot session. A favourite jacket, scarve, shirt or jumper etc will inject a bit of your own personal style into the shot and ensure your headshots show you looking and feeling great.

The price of headshots seems to vary wildly depending on where you go and who you book with. I have a number of different packages that will hopefully cater for your budget while still ensuring that you get great headshots.

Probably the most important reason for booking me to photograph your headshots is that you like my style of work and therefore feel comfortable and confident that I can portray you in the best possible way.
It is also really important that you feel comfortable and relaxed on the day and this will involve being comfortable with me. I worked with actors for many years and have quite a relaxed and easygoing approach to headshots and will keep it simple while also offering you some subtle direction to assist in getting the best result.
The next consideration is price and this is usually the make or break part because you don’t want to and shouldn’t need to spend to much but spending to little could result in not getting headshots that you feel good about and give you the best chance of getting auditions.
My prices are designed to be competitive and to reflect the quality of the services that I offer. I have also come up with a few different packages to hopefully cater for any budget.
