Welcome to Headshot Photographer
Hi Guys thanks for visiting my website!
My name is Jules and I am a Melbourne based Photographer specializing in actors headshots and model portfolios.
This being my very first blog I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the wonderful people who helped make the this website possible.
Firstly to Isabella Dunwill for building it and for her hours of work, great thinking outside the square ideas and totally smashing my perceptions of what could be achieved.
Isabella has built some other great sites that should prove very useful for actors young and old and those new to the game and the seasoned professionals.
Thanks also to Greg Stewart for the filming and editing of the intro flick (see above). Mate you really are the atmoss and I appreciate all your great work and pos vibes.
To everyone else involved with the video thanks to you all. Tiffany and Ashlyn for the hair and makeup and the models Mena, Rhiannan and Demetri.
Lastly and most importantly I would like to thank all the amazing Actors who have allowed me the privilege of photographing their headshots over the past 6 years. This site would not exist without you. .
My approach to Headshots is pretty simple and I aim to keep it fun and relaxed . So you can come along have some fun and enjoy your session and the results will speak for themselves.
I will using the blog to keep you all updated on whats going on with me and any special offers and also useful tips and websites for actors that I find along the way.
Cheers
A bit about Jules
After graduating from NMIT in 2004 Jules started his professional career photographing Headshots for actors around Melbourne while continuing to document and explore the urban landscape of his adopted home city.
Six years on and Headshots are still a major part of his focus (uninteneded pun) and Jules has worked hard to keep his work fresh and creative. While great Headshots are always the main goal Jules tries to ensure that the experience is lots of fun and he maintains a easygoing and relaxed approach to his work.
Based out of Coventry Studios, Jules also takes advantage of the many alleyways and backstreets in the area which ensures every Headshot session is a bit spontaneous and each actors’ personality and style is truly captured.
Jules is currently working on a number of projects aimed at further developing his Food, Lifestyle and Fashion portfolios while continuing to photograph images for a solo exhibition.
What’s up for 2010?
2010 is all about the food for Jules (photography wise, obviously he needs to eat) with some great projects already planned which will aim to tell some stories of how our food makes it to the plate and the people involved in getting it there.
As a part of this, Jules will have the opportunity to take the Headshot circus on the road: so think Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. Keep updated on where and when by visiting the site and reading the blog posts.
While on the road Jules will be no doubt find time to capture more images of our amazing visual landscape and will use anything worthy as part of the above mentioned and long overdue exhibition.
Also on the cards is the hunt for a new studio/exhibition space with architect/designer Mike Sharp, whilst also vowing never to talk of himself in the third person again. Weird but kind of fun, like an out of body experience where you are the puppet master of your own show….which we all are I guess….or are we?
Cheers
